Casalpusterlengo (LO) – 299,00 kWe

Biogas plant powered by dedicated crops, with a nominal power of 0.299 MW of the FONDAZIONE CARIPLO – INIZIATIVE PATRIMONIALI SPA, the plant is installed on the site in the municipality of Casalpusterlengo (LO). It is an anaerobic biomass digestion plant, consisting of cereal products, not classified as waste, on agricultural land owned and/or available to the FONDAZIONE CARIPLO – INIZIATIVE PATRIMONIALI SPA. The main dimensional features of the project works are summarized below:
– pre-pit: 200 m³ of diameter 8m and an internal height of 4 mt
– loading hopper of 40 m³ and the respective technology for the loading of pallets and extruder to reduce the size of the cut and increase the homogeneity of the biomass used
– anaerobic digester (fermenter) composed of a reinforced concrete tank with an external diameter of 18.5 m and a height of 6 m, the tank has a volume of approximately 1,525 m³ digesters and with a fermentation volume of 1,350 m³ with the top installed a static accumulator for the temporary accumulation of biogas produced of about 400 m³
– secondary anaerobic digester (post-fermenter) placed in a d.c. The post-fermenter has an internal diameter of 18.5 m and an internal height of 6 m. The total volume is 1,525 m³, while the fermentation volume is 1,350 m³. At the top, a pressostatic accumulator is installed for the temporary accumulation of the produced biogas.
– covered biogas digested storage tank composed of a circular duct tank, with a diameter of 26 m, a total height of 6 m and a volume of 3,185 m³. At the top, there is a pressostatic accumulator for the temporary accumulation of the biogas produced – pumping room: placed in a room adjacent to the digesters, inside this there are the switchboard room, the pump room and the heat exchangers of the heating system of the digesters and the biogas desulfurization room
– LV / MV transformer substation and Enel meters
– electricity production group, inside a special soundproof container
– construction of 2,800m³ trenches in caves. The plant can operate at full load by efficiently exploiting the biomass available on site, reaching the nominal power of 299kW 24/7 (net of maintenance times).
The plant benefits from the incentive tariff obtained from the conversion of green certificates into an all-inclusive tariff for plants registered in the BIOA RG 2014 register.
